It is not strawberry season right now. The juicy and sweet red fruit is so delicious during the summer. Using frozen strawberries is a good alternative for smoothies.
But in october the apples are gorgeous and colorful.
Strawberries mix well with most fruits, add vibrant color and provide sweet flavors.
Adding yogurt to the smoothie provides some good protein.
- 1 cup fresh strawberries
- 1 banana
- 1 apple, peeled and cored
- 1 pear, peeled and cored
- 1 cup plain Greek Yogurt
- 1 Tb or 2 Tbs honey (optional)
- 1 cup ice
- Blend all ingredients in a blender until smooth.
