Lunch can be boring and we are often tend to eat sugar and simple carbs. Like it is important to plan your breakfast and carry some healthy snacks with you, it is also important to plan your lunch to avoid eating poorly. If you are trying to lose weight, choose high-quality proteins from nuts, seeds, legumes, quinoa, tofu, poultry, eggs, and fish. Stick to proper portions sizes.
On the go: Pack a cooler filled with healthy foods, and eat a delicious and satisfying meal that will help you lose weight.
Here are a few lunchtime ideas to carry with you:
- Bring along whole grain breads, wraps and crackers
- Prepare crudités and hummus
- Prepare a nice healthy salad in a mason jar
- Fill your cooler with last night’s leftover
- Bring some fresh fruits and vegetables
- Bring your favorite smoothie with you
